In times like the ones we are currently experiencing all Realtor's need to do everything they can in the way of education and certification. I recently completed the continuing education class at the Washington County Board of Realtor's for the SFR Certfication-Short Sales & Foreclosures. I highly recommend this course to all Realtor's. We owe it to our customers and clients in order to assist them in the process of selling and buying homes in today's market.
We can educate the homeowner who is experiencing difficult economic issues to not ignore those letters coming in the mail from the bank or mortgage holder. We need to let them know about HAMP(Making Home Affordable Program) or HAFA(Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives).
As Realtor's we need to know that we are following the steps that will ensure our clients the best outcome if a Short Sale is the only alternative then we need to be educated on the necessary steps during this process to ensure a favorable outcome.
